Recently conducted studies proved that breast cancer is the most common disease to occur in women, after lung cancer. The knowledge of breast cancer society is absolutely essential for the women to have and to take all the measures for avoiding that. The recognition of its danger; and information about ways of survival can greatly increase the chances of life saving for the women as a whole. It is not very much stressed in general, but the danger of breast cancer also exists for the men.

Myths and Reality about Breast Cancer

Breast cancer is not common in men, as the women get breast cancer 100 times more often than men. Therefore, contrary to the common belief these men are not immune from breast cancer and they too can be a target of this dangerous disease. Therefore there is a strong need to aware the people about breast cancer and to tell them how they can save themselves from it. One of the attempts to recognize its importance and treatment issues is the awareness walks. Such awareness campaigns have widespread effect and are able to convey their message to a wide array of people.

Breast cancer awareness walk 2013 is to be held at the Phoenix zoo. The basic and major issues of breast cancer would be highlighted and translated into banners and other media for normal people to read. Such an activity would generate good awareness and people would become curious to get more information about breast cancer in general. It is also a very vital aspect for the media and especially newspapers’ attention. The news channels and newspapers would be considering it a good cause to report in the news. Therefore it would also have its effect in the other states and parts of the world other than America. Another factor to boost the outreach of this awareness walk on breast cancer would be to increase the number of people that are going to check themselves for symptoms of breast cancer. It would greatly increase the detection of this disease so that people can know about it at the early stages and later on get the best medical help and medication to cure them.

Objectives

The goals for this Arizona 2013 walk are; to distribute nearly 50,000 packets related to educational stuff and material to the community. This material would make it easier for the message of this campaign to spread to the houses and to more people than witnessing it in real. It would increase the detection chances and would also inform the general people about symptoms of this disease. They walk participants would also be offering 200 free mammograms for the low income women who are not able to afford the disease detection and its treatment also.

The walk participants and organization would also be showing their resolve to provide in-home care for the females who have underwent the surgical procedures of the treatment. Also, the aim would be to inform people about the supply of hope supply program that consists of mostly needed items supplied to the breast cancer fighters.
